Prior to its release, Baahubali 2 had set up an enviable record in UAE by beating the advance booking record set by Hollywood biggie, 'Fast and Furious 8'. Now, the Indian film has shattered another record in the Gulf region.
By minting Rs.10 million in just seventeen days, Baahubali 2 has become the first ever Indian Movie to achieve this feat in UAE. Earlier, Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan was the highest grosser in UAE with a lifetime collections of $ 9.5 million.
Baahubali 2 has also become the first Indian movie to collect USD 40 million in overseas if we exclude the collections from China. Aamir's Dangal and PK have collected more than Baahubali 2 in overseas but major share for those films came from China.
On the other hand, Aamir Khan's Dangal has set up a unique record by becoming the first Indian film to collect USD100 million in overseas. Major credit must be given to China where the film has been performing exceptionally well. Even the Hollywood biggie - 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' couldnot match the momentum of Dangal and limited itself to 2nd position in China.
